Class Descriptions

Pre-school Combination-In this hour and a half class, students around the ages of 3-5 will be introduced to the basics of Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Acrobats, in an age appropriate manner.  Each hour and a half class will consist of two 45-minute sections of either Tap and Ballet, or Jazz and Acrobats.

 

Beginner classes-These 45 minute classes are designed to take students around the ages of 6-10 to the next level.  These students have mastered the basics and are ready to start learning the proper technique to all areas of dance.

 

Beginner-Intermediate-These hour classes are a great transition for those students who have taken the beginner level classes and feel that they are ready for that little extra challenge in their dance classes.

 

Intermediate-The intermediate level classes are hour-long classes that work with students around the ages of 11-14.  In these classes students have a good technique base and want to receive more instruction in the content of all areas of dance.

 

Intermediate-Advanced-These hour classes are another transition area for students that have experienced the intermediate level instruction and feel they are ready for the challenge of advanced training.

 

Advanced-At this level, students have very strong technique, a high level of content knowledge, and a passion for dance.  Students around the ages of 14 and up will learn at a quicker pace and be educated in different styles of dance while still being challenged and having fun.

 

Adult classes-These hour-long classes are fun for those of us that enjoy dance and still want to be involved in it.  Whether or not you’ve had prior dance instruction these classes will get your feet moving and teach you the importance of dance for exercise and enjoyment.

 

Cardio and Abs.-In these classes students 14 and up are welcome to come and get a great workout.  These hour-long classes will consist of some mix of cardiovascular movement and abdominal workouts.  Work up a good sweat and give your muscles the strength they need for life or dancing.
